This is a true Waikato wine. Grown on the banks of Lake Karapiro each vintage is a mix of mainly Bordeaux reds, combined to create a highly drinkable, food friendly red which also has a lot of complexity and interest. The 2020 is a mix of Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinotage, and Cabernet Franc. There's lots of red berries but also some fig and then minerals and spice. Don't be surprised if you can smell and taste chocolate as well!
